Interns will gain valuable work experience in the office environment of a global publishing company. Each intern will work closely with a mentor, participate with other interns in workshops geared toward career development, and make networking connections for possible future employment. The work schedule is full time (35 hours a week), Monday through Friday 9 am - 5 pm.
General administrative publishing work, which may include maintaining central files; scheduling meetings, campus visits and making travel arrangements; photocopying needs; processing invoices/bills and preparing check requests; preparing/mailing packages; maintaining project & reviewer databases; transcribing campus visits.
Pearson's San Francisco office is offering internship opportunities in the following departments:

This is a paid internship. The hourly rate is $13/hour.
All interns will work at the San Francisco office. Interns must be available to attend the full 9 week program, June 20-August 19, 2011. Candidates who live outside of a commutable distance must relocate themselves to the San Francisco Bay Area at their own expense.
The Pearson Summer Internship application deadline is Friday, April 15, 2011. Interview candidates will be contacted the week of April 25th for an invitation to visit our office in San Francisco.

|Requirements:||Related work experience:
Office/clerical experience preferred.
Formal education or equivalent:
Graduating college senior preferred.
Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Internships in Production and Marketing may require knowledge of Macintosh operating systems)
Excellent clerical, analytical, and organizational skills required. Outstanding writing, communication, and telephone skills. Desire to pursue a career in the Educational Publishing Industry.
