Internship Detail

Description: We are a Paris-based fast-growing literary agency with a special foothold in the Spanish and French-language markets. We are looking for a motivated multilingual intern to start ASAP. 

This flexible remote internship is a 3-6+ months, part-time (20+ hour/week) position. At the end of the internship a permanent position may be offered (remotely or in our offices in Paris).

Our interns will receive an insider’s view to rights management, while having the opportunity to learn about the publishing industry.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Writing promotional copy, in the form of descriptive copy for galleys, press releases, and pitch letters

- Work closely with authors to plan publicity and marketing campaigns, set up book tours and author events, and pitch interviews and features to all types of media outlets

- Design promotional materials, keep our website and blog updated, and as sales manager, track the sales of our books and serve as liaison between our publisher and our distributor and sales reps.

- Provide support to digital and social media, including the development and scheduling of content across social media channels 

- Contribute to the execution of the content marketing strategy, including maintaining blog, social and email marketing calendars with some content development 

- Translate promotional content

- Creating and maintaining media lists, as well as relevant editorial calendars 

Length of Internship: 5 months (a permanent position may be offered afterwards)
Requirements: We are looking for candidates with: 

- Strong written and oral communication skills BOTH in English and Spanish are required. Please bear in mind ONLY BILINGUAL CANDIDATES will be considered.

- Understanding of French is highly appreciated. Translation tasks may be required !

- Friendly, sociable, eloquent, and enjoy the personal connections with authors (or clients) and media

- International view, cross-cultural understanding and multicultural sensitivity

- Photography and design skills, being able to imagine creative ideas for utilizing social media and building online presence.

- Resourceful, proactive approach to problems and queries
- Passion for literature, and a good awareness of international literary fiction

- Computer literacy (some blogging or/and social media experience appreciated) 

- Self-motivation, dependability, and attention to detail
Location: Remote & Flexible!
Payment: Unpaid internship, however full class credit can be provided in coordination with faculty.
