Description: Bookbright Media is a publishing services company that focuses on the development and project management needs of educational and reference publishing. We provide content development, editorial and typesetting services, data management, and archive development to major global educational and academic publishers.
We are seeking an intern who can participate in various stages of the editorial, production, and content development processes. This intern should be prepared to work in a small, fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained practical, hands-on experience in various aspects of book and digital content production and greater knowledge of the publishing industry.

• May 18–July 31, 2020
• Onsite at our office in East Point, Georgia (walking distance from the East Point MARTA station)
• Three days per week, 20–24 hours weekly
• $150/week stipend

Duties may include the following:
• Providing support to content development research, review, and selection
• Assisting in data research for fact-checking and infographics
• Completing copy editing and proofreading tasks
• Preparing manuscripts for typesetting
• Reviewing book proof pages for completeness and consistency
• Reviewing indexes for proper organization and mechanics
• Attending regular staff and production meetings
• Assisting with various company operations and marketing projects
Length of Internship: 11 weeks
Requirements: • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• A collaborative work ethic
• Curiosity, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn
• Keen interest and knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
• Familiarity with style guides such as Chicago Manual of Style or house style guides is beneficial but not required
• Rising college juniors and seniors are preferred, including those transferring from two-year to four-year institutions
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
Location: Atlanta, GA
