Reader’s Digest Association (RDA) is committed to building the next generation of talent, and key to our strategy is our internship program. As a worldwide leader in multi-platform media and direct-to-consumer marketing, we have 200+ professionals in our Milwaukee office that can offer robust and engaging learning opportunities to top students in the Midwest.

We are seeking high-potential students interested in career-building opportunities in a fast paced and competitive environment. In turn, we provide interns relevant real-life business experience through short-term projects that support key business initiatives and contribute to our products. You will also gain exposure to RDA's global organization through meetings where you will interact with business professionals, internal industry experts and senior executives throughout the summer.

The RDA summer internship program is open to undergraduate students entering their junior or senior year. All internships are credit-based (unpaid). To be considered for this program, students will be asked to provide proper documentation from their school program.

The photo studio located in Milwaukee, WI is one of the largest food photo studios in the country and operates 100% digital. We have four sets operating five days a week, 8 hours a day supporting 8 brands including the number one food magazine in the country, Taste of Home. Position Description

Set Stylist Intern - The set stylist will be provided an introduction to the Taste of Home brand through the eyes of one of the largest food photo studios in the country. Reporting to the senior set stylist you will work with art directors, photographers, food stylists and other set stylist to attend meetings, wall reviews and brainstorming sessions as you gain an understanding of the process and execution. Duties will include researching and pulling props, creating crafts and added value items for shoots, painting surfaces and backgrounds and observing shoots to see how all elements come together to create the photograph.

Photography Intern - You will learn the techniques used in the publishing and photo industry, experiencing the life cycle of a photo shoot all that goes into it from preparation to billing. Assisting and observing a team of approximately 15 full-time photography professionals, you will help with set building, prop procurement, set tear-down and organization of inventory for each respective area. You will also help maintain and organize equipment as well as assist with general studio set up, upkeep and cleaning.

Requirements: Set Stylist Intern -
•Currently enrolled in a photography, interior design, graphic design or fine arts major entering junior or senior year
•Passion for creating beautiful images
•Ability to work as part of a team and be self-directed
•Able to manage multiple projects concurrently and adhere to deadlines
•You must submit 3 samples of design work in the primary medium of major along with resume for consideration; samples can be attachments or a link to an online portfolio

Photography Intern -
•Currently enrolled in a photography program entering junior or senior year
•Strong desire to work as an editorial photographer
•Basic understanding of studio photography
•Some knowledge of Photoshop and digital camera software
•Needs to be able to take direction and be self-motivated
•Able to life 50 pounds and climb stairs
•You must submit 3 samples of your photography along with resume for consideration; samples can be attachments or a link to an online portfolio
