Description: Internship Program
Reader’s Digest Association (RDA), is committed to building the next generation of talent, and key to our strategy is our internship program. We are seeking high-potential students interested in career-building opportunities in a fast paced and competitive environment. In turn, we provide interns relevant real-life business experience through short-term projects that support key business initiatives and contribute to our products. You will also gain exposure to RDA's global organization through meetings where you will interact with business professionals, internal industry experts and senior executives throughout the summer.

The RDA summer internship program is open to undergraduate students entering their junior or senior year. All internships are credit-based (unpaid). To be considered for this program, students will be asked to provide proper documentation from their school program.

Position Description

Corporate Art Intern, White Plains (1 intern)
The Corporate Art Intern will work with the global operations department to review, organize and categorize approximately 2500 pieces of artwork to ensure all pieces are properly classified/ labeled. The Intern will work as a subject matter expert providing frequent updates/recommendations to our senior financial analyst for possible auction sales. Working with our administrative coordinator, the Intern will organize an onsite employee art sale by summer's end, including selecting appropriate pieces and venue, preparing internal RDA publicity via intranet, managing receipt system and maintaining accurate database records of all sales.

Length of Internship: Summer 2012 Term
Requirements: Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Art History.
• Interest and knowledge of Art and the art-market
• Must be comfortable lifting large pieces of art work
• Be highly organized, detail oriented, and a self-starter able to set priorities and multi-task.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes
