Umbrage Editions is a multimedia company that publishes high quality visual books on art, photography, human rights, nature, social and political issues, and popular culture. In addition, we create Web sites, exhibitions, plays, TV documentaries, education kits, and other media-rich projects. Visit the website,, to learn more.

Each semester and during the summer Umbrage offers internships to highly qualified college students or recent graduates. The job involves a wide variety of activities, from designing press and promotional materials to book design, production work, and general office/file maintenance. 2 positions are currently available.
Length of Internship: Fall semester
Requirements: Macintosh computer skills a must. Knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop is mandatory. Please be comfortable and adept at handling a large amount of body copy—type skills important!

The ideal applicant will have excellent writing and verbal skills, be comfortable on the phone, and be interested in current affairs, art, photography, human rights, publishing, Web sites, museum work, or marketing. We require a commitment of a minimum of two days per week during the fall semester. Interns must be willing and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
