Internship Detail

Description: interns provide graphic production/pre press support to the Art department. Proficiency in InDesign and Quark XPress is necessary. Tasks may include inputting text changes, generating barcodes for picture book and fiction titles, assisting with preparing final files for print, and assisting with creating and preflighting press optimized PDFs. interns assist designers (fiction and picture book) with preliminary page set up, font research, format selection and scanning of illustrator sketches, assist Art Department Coordinator with making of book galleys and printing out layouts at actual size so some knowledge of paste-up and lay-out is required. Adobe Products, Illustrator, Web design a plus,assisting with the creation of posters, bookmarks, displays, advertisements etc. so proficiency with MAC programs including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is necessary.

Payment: We would like applicants who can work from 25-30 hours a week. These are unpaid internships. But if you are eligible to receive credit from your college or university, we can work that out.
