Description: Duties include reading submissions from potential clients, writing reader's reports, proofreading proposals, clerical work (i.e. answering the phone, filing, sorting mail), and general office tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about all aspects of publishing (how books are discovered, polished, sold, and brought to market).

Dent, author of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal business bestseller, THE ROARING 2000s. In 2002, Susan was named Entertainment Weekly's "It Agent" of the year.
Length of Internship: Flexible
Requirements: Candidates should be motivated, well-organized, responsible, and have excellent communication skills. Some experience critically evaluating fiction and non-fiction work is necessary, as well as a love of books and a strong interest in the publishing business.
