Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The college division at W. W. Norton & Company is seeking an intern from January 2020 to April 2020 to assist the Astronomy and Geology Media Team. The Media Team creates resources for introductory-level college courses, including videos, animations, interactive online activities, and instructor support materials. The internship will offer insight into the editorial, marketing, sales, and digital media development aspects of educational publishing.

Tasks will vary, but include:
• conducting market research
• managing manuscript in all stages of development
• researching and cataloguing photos, art, and other digital assets
• testing media products ranging from PowerPoint Slides to video games
• formatting documents for copyediting and production
• day-to-day office duties
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and organized, able to work independently in an office environment, and interested in learning about college publishing. Those with an interest in Astronomy or Geology are especially encouraged to apply. However, Astronomy or Geology subject knowledge is NOT required. Knowledge of Mac OS, Windows OS, and Microsoft Word is required.
