Description: Tule Publishing is looking for Spring and Summer editorial interns!

To start in January or May 2020. Tule Publishing, located in San Clemente, is seeking an editorial intern interested in the publishing industry for immediate hire.

Hours: 15-20 hours a week, flexible on days of the week and mornings or afternoons

Some tasks may include:
– Learning to evaluate submissions and manuscripts and write reader’s reports
– Working with the publicity team to write pitch letters
– Becoming familiar with publishing retailers
– Mock evaluations of proposals with team feedback
Length of Internship: 12 weeks: Spring (Jan-April) or Summer (May - August)
Requirements: Must be proficient at Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Must be a team player and work well with others
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of the current marketplace, especially romance books
Location: Remote
