Description: The astronomy and geology digital media and print teams are seeking a highly motivated intern to assist with editorial and production tasks in developing, managing, and producing forthcoming digital and print products. Responsibilities vary but will include working with the digital media team to produce online and electronic instructor and student resource materials, and working with the print team to manage and edit the astronomy blog, format manuscripts, and assist with all stages of the publishing process. Please note: NO specific knowledge of astronomy and geology is required!
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, digitally savvy, organized and focused, willing to learn new programs and skills on the job, and, most importantly, excited about the great potential for the media side of textbook publishing. Knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office is required, and experience with Google spreadsheets is useful. Specific hours are flexible, but interns must be available to work 3-4 days for a total of 20 hours per week over a three-month period starting September 1st. Juniors, seniors, and recent graduates preferred.

Payment: $11/hour
