Description: Learn how the publishing process works from the perspective of a literary agent, book packager, and professional editor. Looking for fall 2014/spring 2015 interns who enjoy book editing and evaluating and would like to work to build professional experience. Read, evaluate, and do developmental and line edits on novels and nonfiction books under supervision of company president. Editorial experience a must in fiction and nonfiction. Excellent opportunity for those interested in the book publishing field.
Length of Internship: 6 months
Requirements: Proficient in Word, track changes, and preferred knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style. Reliable and detail-oriented.
Location: Coupeville, Whidbey Island, Washington State. Looking for applicants willing to relocate but remote interns may be considered as well.
