Description: Barron's is recruiting for our Winter/Spring internship program. This internship runs from mid to late January through late April, early May. Enthusiastic interns aspiring to a career in publishing will work in our marketing and publicity department. The internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the publishing industry and to get hands-on experience working in a fast-paced environment. Our interns have cited the intern experience as "exceeding their expectations and helping them prepare for a professional career". Typcial tasks for a Marketing intern consists of building an online presence for Barron's wide range of titles and involved with employing social media to engage different communities of petential book buyers and book reviewers.
Length of Internship: Winter/Spring internship runs from mid January through early May.
Requirements: Candidates must be able to work at least three full days from 8:45am - 5:00pm weekly for the duration of the internship. Current students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Candidates should have practical experience and knowledge with various social media, a flare for creative writing and an enthusiasm for books.

Good research skills, resourcefullness and self-motivated work ethic a must.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, internet savvy and proficiency using MS Office software are required.
