|Description:||The Summer Internship Program at Longman Publishers is open to all college juniors who are interested in a career in publishing. The program will run 8 weeks, from June 11, 2007 to August 3, 2007. In addition to the valuable experience the student will gain from working in the corporate environment of a global publishing company, he/she will work closely with a mentor, participate with other interns in workshops geared toward career development, and make networking connections for possible employment after graduation. The work schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday. Pearson Education Interns are compensated at a competitive hourly rate.
Internship opportunities exist in the following functional areas:
Editorial / Marketing
|Length of Internship:||8 weeks|
|Requirements:||Strong writing, communication and telephone skills, excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Internships in production may require knowledge of Quark Xpress. Desire to pursue a career in the publishing industry after graduation
