Description: | Diversion Books is looking for an innovative, detail-oriented Marketing and Publicity Associate to join our dynamic team. This role will support Diversion Books, focusing on impactful marketing and publicity strategies for a diverse catalog of fiction and nonfiction titles, including frontlist releases and backlist gems.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience in marketing, publicity, or a related field. A passion for storytelling, creative book promotion, and media relations is essential. Requirements: | Key Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative and strategic support to the marketing and publicity team, collaborating with editorial, sales, and subsidiary rights teams. • Act as a liaison with external partners in marketing, publicity, and sales, ensuring timely delivery of materials and assets. • Maintain and manage department calendars for marketing, publicity, and sales events, ensuring deadlines are met and milestones tracked. • Develop and execute publicity campaigns for select titles, taking the lead in strategic outreach. • Create engaging digital content, including social media posts for the company and author platforms, newsletters, and website updates. • Design and implement data-driven digital marketing strategies for platforms like Facebook and Amazon and provide performance insights. • Research innovative trends and best practices in marketing and publicity, sharing actionable recommendations with the team. About You: • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. • 2-4 years of experience in publishing (including internships), marketing, or publicity. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling. • Highly organized, able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. • A passion for books, from fiction to nonfiction. • Familiarity with tools like Mailchimp, Canva, or Google Workspace and a willingness to learn new platforms. • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
