Title: Operations Manager, Melville House
Description: A key, dynamic position with a leading independent publisher that entails both running the office and managing the physical plant, as well as coordinating HR and staff support with the creative team, internship management, and some contracts management.

Specific duties include:

• Physical plant maintenance and supply

• Maintain critical company data on the cloud and in physical copy

• Manage mail room operations, including supporting staff shipping needs through USPS, UPS, FedEx, and our marketing warehouse. Also includes supervision/fulfillment of direct sales

• Manage miscellaneous support systems such as Google Workspace, Microsoft, and other accounts

• HR staff support

• Run the internship program, including recruitment, training and management

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $55,000 - 65,000, and includes full health benefits, generous paid vacation time off, and a 401(k) program. While this is not an entry level job, we are open to candidates from outside the book industry.
