Title: | Summer 2024 Marketing Intern, Little, Brown |

Program dates: June 3rd – August 9th (10 weeks) Location: ON-SITE: position will be based in our NY office on a two-day per week hybrid schedule (Mondays and Tuesdays). Company laptop will be provided for the duration of the program. Weekly schedule: 28 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-5:00pm Pay rate: $16/hour As Marketing Intern at Little, Brown, you will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned professionals and gain hands-on professional experience as you own day-to-day tasks, help with special projects, and attend departmental meetings. To enhance your work experience, we offer educational sessions featuring speakers from all departments of the company as well as networking and career development opportunities. In addition to your resume, please submit a cover letter, detailing your interest in working with Little, Brown. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN AND DO: Assist in planning and implementing marketing campaigns, including: Research and contact influencers, then mail books/packages to them Suggest and contact potential brands to partner with Set up sweepstakes and mail prizes Create organic and engaging content for social media Take photos Film and edit videos Write captions Schedule content Create graphics Create graphics for authors and retailer sites Update book pages and sections of Hachette website Monitor retailer sites to ensure book and author data are accurate Maintain NetGalley and Goodreads, and manage L,B Marketing Generic Inbox Perform administrative duties, such as: Process warehouse orders Track shipping Create galley orders Schedule meetings Create weekly reports |
Requirements: | WHO YOU ARE:
Interested in exploring a career in book publishing and marketing Excited about discussing recent books you’ve read Organized and able to manage your projects Willing to contribute insights and ideas Eager to learn about marketing a book Familiar with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok) Strong communication skills Have experience creating graphics in Canva, Photoshop, or another software About Little, Brown: Little, Brown and Company is one of the country’s oldest and most distinguished publishing houses.
