Title:	Designer - Freelance
Description:	Apollo Publishers is seeking an experienced book designer to support projects on a freelance basis. Projects may include: • Book cover/mechanical design and layout • Book interior design and layout • Inputting corrects into layouts • Generating files from InDesign • Creating ebooks and ARCs • Assessing file resolution and size • Designing printed marketing materials • Designing digital marketing materials • Website design support Apollo Publishers is an exciting young publishing house specializing in adult trade nonfiction with a timely and topical bend. This is a superb, hands-on position for experienced and creative book designers.
Requirements:	Experience in book design, with an established book publisher, is a must. The candidate who will succeed in this role must be extremely competent in InDesign, organized, detail focused, a fast worker, and creative.

Location:	Apollo Publishers is based in New York, but this position will allow remote or in-office work.
