Title: Publicity Manager/Media Liaison (Remote Contract)
Description: TouchPoint Press is seeking an experienced, creative, and enthusiastic candidate to oversee all facets of TouchPoint Press's (and its imprints) publicity and marketing. This is an exciting opportunity for any book enthusiast to apply their marketing expertise across TouchPoint Press’ extensive fiction and non-fiction lists.

The position provides an opportunity to become immersed in a hands-on department where innovative title-marketing campaigns will continue to connect the titles published by TouchPoint Press with readers everywhere. The manager will be proactive in the creation and execution of media and publicity campaigns for a variety of authors, working closely with Publishing & Editorial, and Copy & Design as part of an integrated team. This is a remote contractor position that reports directly to the Publisher.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Create marketing strategies
•Ensure that publicity plans are consistent with overall marketing strategy for each assigned title
•Secure reviews, author interviews, and features, for assigned titles in both national and regional/local media
•Build and maintain relationships with media and event venue contacts nationwide
•Arrange author events with bookstore and non-bookstore venues
•Create dynamic press materials, targeted email pitches, and electronic press kits for media outreach
•Communicate with all members of the integrated team
•Delegate tasks and manage media interns
•Work collaboratively with authors and provide regular updates on marketing engagements

Requirements: •Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field preferred
•2-5 years of client management/relations experience preferred
•Excellent copywriting and editing skills
•Outstanding communication skills
•Ability to set and meet goals
•Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, well-organized, and a creative problem solver
•Ability to prioritize competing tasks, deadlines, and team needs
•Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage a busy inbox with timely follow-up skills
•Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
•Proficiency with Excel, Word, Microsoft Office Suite, and online cloud tools (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)
