Title: | Junior Marketing Designer, Running Press |
Description: | Working closely with Running Press’ marketing team, the Junior Marketing Designer will be responsible for designing and producing advertising, promotional and sales materials for Running Press’ divisions. The creative talents of the individual in this role will be applied to digital/print advertisements, marketing materials, PowerPoint presentations, sales documents, author materials, web graphics, and more. This position will also be responsible for maintaining Running Press’ website. A successful candidate will be an innovative, out-of-the-box thinker who strives for design excellence and enjoys challenges. The position will be based in the Philadelphia office (once it fully reopens) with a hybrid office/work from home schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work under the supervision of the Marketing Director to design, manage, and track Running Press’ promotional materials across print and digital platforms. Work collaboratively with the marketing team to conceptualize projects and execute designs. Design engaging digital media content including infographics, shareable graphics, animated gifs, email banners, online ads, etc., while being aware of file constraints and specifications unique to various platforms. Design and maintain materials for licensed properties, working within strict guidelines to produce sell sheets, brochures, ads, online graphics, etc. Maintain branding for RP Mystic, Self Care for Kids, RP Minis, RP Studio, and other Running Press verticals. Photograph products for stylized photos and products shots for social media, retailer websites, and advertising. Design corporate presentations and pitch packets in PowerPoint. Maintain Running Press’ websites by producing and updating graphics, formatting blog posts, building landing pages, and updating product listings through our WordPress CMS. Oversee delivery and maintenance of approved art and design assets, working with the Design, Editorial, Sales departments and printing vendors to ensure that the most up-to-date, approved artwork is used across all channels. |
Requirements: | KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIRED
BFA, BA, or Associates degree in design Required software skills: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel Additional software skills preferred: Working knowledge of CMS, HTML, and CSS; working knowledge of product and lifestyle photography; familiarity with After Effects or other video production software. Ability to design in a variety of styles and genres. Ability to manage multiple project schedules and tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Strong teamwork, time management, and project management skills. Ability to work independently, multi-task, and deliver quality work in an efficient manner.
