Title: Marketing & Publicity Assistant, Running Press
Description: Running Press and Black Dog & Leventhal is seeking a highly-motivated, creative, and energetic Marketing & Publicity Assistant to join our Philadelphia team in orchestrating wide-reaching and sales-driving publicity and marketing campaigns for a broad range of titles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate logistics for weekly meetings, seasonal sales conferences, and events
Working with the Marketing Director and Publicity Director, track expenses, process invoices, update internal system as requested.
Process all sales requests for materials, while tracking and managing divisional requirements for seasonal sales catalogs, supplementary material, and more.
With guidance from Marketing Director and Publicity Director manage title marketing campaign tasks, such as design requests, advertising trafficking, scheduling, mailings, etc.
Provide publicity support on a wide array of highly illustrated, non-fiction books (subjects ranging from sports to cooking, art, math, literature, music, etc.)
Contribute content, schedule, and pull analytics reports for Running Press and Black Dog & Leventhal social media platforms
General administrative duties as assigned
Requirements: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Creative individual with a passion for books
Possesses a basic understanding, and passion to learn about publishing, digital marketing, media relations, author care, and social media
Self-motivated, able to prioritize, and can work independently as well as on a team
Ability to multi-task and will thrive in a fast-paced environment
Candidate must be proactive and exceptionally organized
Strong communication & writing skills are essential; some design skills a plus.
Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Black Dog & Leventhal publishes around 30 titles a year for intellectually curious readers, specializing in thoughtfully designed, immersive illustrated nonfiction for adults and children in the categories of reference, science/STEM, music, pop culture, lifestyle and design, and history.
