| Title: | The Black Creatives Grant |
| Description: | Pippin Properties, Inc. is thrilled to announce the launch of our fourth annual Black Creatives Grant—an award of $6,000 designed to champion emerging talent in the publishing industry. For the 2024 cycle, we are inviting applications exclusively from unpublished aspiring writers.
In alignment with our core values, we affirm the importance of elevating underrepresented voices, particularly Black creatives. As part of our ongoing commitment to address systemic disparities, Pippin proudly presents the Black Creatives Grant. This initiative seeks to amplify underrepresented perspectives in creative spaces, fostering a more inclusive and equitable landscape. Through this grant, we aspire to evolve narratives and broaden the perspective of creativity by centering Black stories,narratives, and experiences, ultimately enriching our collective cultural tapestry. We encourage unpublished Black writers to apply and utilize the award to advance their careers and share their unique voices with the world. It is important to note that the recipient of this grant is not obligated to submit their work to Pippin Properties for representation, nor is Pippin obliged to offer representation. However, should the recipient choose to submit to us, we are committed to expediting the review process. We eagerly anticipate receiving applications from talented Black writers who are ready to contribute to our shared cultural dialogue and shape the future of storytelling. Together, let’s continue to celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity in the creative landscape. |
| Requirements: | • Must be an unpublished, aspiring Black writer
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number • Submit 10 pages of sample writing and a one page cover letter sharing a brief summary of the nature of your work and how this grant would help you in your creative pursuits • Submit sample pages and cover letter as a single email attachment emailed to info@pippinproperties.com by 11:59 pm EST on August 31st, 2024 • Cover letter and sample pages must be double-spaced and shared as a PDF. Please number your pages and include your contact information, including your full name, address, email address, and phone number in the document header. |
