Title: Inventory Manager, Yale University Press
Description: Yale University offers exciting opportunities for achievement and growth in New Haven, Connecticut. General Purpose:
Join one of the world’s leading university presses as Inventory Manager, responsible for all aspects of Press inventory. This position monitors sales trends and stock levels, recommending reprints to ensure adequate levels for backlist and frontlist titles while, at the same time, minimizing excess inventory via conversion to POD, remaindering and pulping. The Inventory Manager serves as primary operational liaison with our third-party warehouse to monitor performance and solve operational issues and also serves as primary inventory liaison with our London affiliate and museum partners to ensure adequate levels of inventory. This position is also responsible for managing and maintaining the Press office facilities at 302 Temple Street.
Requirements: Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

• Inventory management.
• Proven ability as a distribution center liaison and familiarity with fulfillment systems.
• Knowledge of common business practices, procedures, generally accepted business principles, and strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to produce management reports using business software and Excel.
• Ability to work with all levels of management and staff.
• Preferred Education and Experience: Book Publishing experience.
