Description: Don Congdon Associates is seeking an intern who is detail-oriented and well-read in contemporary titles. Responsibilities include evaluating manuscripts and query letters as well as light administrative duties such as answering phones and mailings. Special independent projects will be assigned based on ability and interest.

Company Description:
Don Congdon Associates, established in 1983, represents a wide variety of genres including literary fiction, mystery/thrillers, humor, women's fiction, history, and biography/memoir. Many of the agency's authors have won numerous awards, including the Pulitzer Prize, George Polk Award, the National Book Award, James Thurber Prize, the Edgar Award, the National Book Foundation's medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters, and the National Medal of the Arts. This is an exciting opportunity to work with well-known and current New York Times bestselling authors.
Length of Internship: May/June through August
Requirements: We are looking for someone who has confidence in his/her reading ability, will take initiative, and can represent the agency professionally. The position is for two days per week.
Location: New York, NY
