| Description: | Start Publishing is seeking an intern to assist our dynamic publishing team, located in Hoboken, New Jersey. Students majoring in Public Relations, English, Journalism, Editing, or Marketing are welcome to apply. Ideal candidates should be interested in pursuing a career in publishing, be detail oriented, and possess good writing skills.
As a publishing intern, you will assist with editorial and marketing tasks, such as reviewing manuscripts for submission, proofreading, social media creation/management, and assisting the marketing team with book campaigns. (This includes Cleis Press, an imprint that publishes adult content/erotica). The internship is unpaid and candidates must commit to at least 14 hours per week for a term of at least 12 weeks. College level candidates must register for academic credit internship with their college or university (fall, spring, summer) and provide official documentation on school letterhead confirming this information for acceptance. |

| Requirements: | - Possess excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Possess creativity, flexibility, variety, and growth potential. - Should be open-minded, a fast learner, enthusiastic, and adaptable. - Experience with HTML is a plus, but not required. |
