Company Name: AEVITAS CREATIVE MANAGEMENT
Description: Literary agency Aevitas Creative Management is seeking interns to work in New York’s Flatiron District during Summer 2020. Candidates should be available to start end of May/beginning of June and able to commit to 3 days per week through August (start and end dates are flexible).

This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in careers in publishing. Aevitas Creative Management is a dynamic and editorially driven agency, and interns will receive a full picture of its inner workings. Regular duties will include:

- Reading manuscript submissions and providing editorial feedback on proposals

- Conducting market research via social media and news outlets

- Brainstorming book ideas and potential clients to pursue

- Attending weekly seminars with staff and agents covering a variety of topics (royalties, contracts, film & tv, foreign rights, etc)

- Other miscellaneous tasks

Ideal applicants will be perceptive readers, comfortable meeting deadlines and managing projects both collaborative and solo. Interns will work with agents whose tastes and lists vary widely; for more information, visit our website at aevitascreative.com.
Length of Internship: ~3 months
Requirements: Applicants should be current undergraduate students with an interest in publishing. We do not offer remote internships—candidates must be local to NYC for the duration of the program.
