Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: W.W. Norton’s college division is seeking an editorial intern to assist with philosophy and political science textbooks for a three-month commitment, starting in September 2016. The internship will offer experience in the editorial, production, and marketing aspects of textbook publishing. Responsibilities will vary day to day, but will include assisting with manuscript preparation, marketing research, and administrative tasks.
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: Candidates should be interested in book publishing as a career, particularly in college textbooks. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize, multitask, and work independently and efficiently. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, will be useful. An interest in philosophy and political science is a plus. Interns will work about 3 days a week for a total of 20 hours.
Location: New York, NY
Payment: $9/hour
