Organization Name: Association of University Presses
Description: Formally established in 1937 as the Association of American University Presses, AUPresses is a community of publishing professionals and institutions committed to the highest caliber of research-based scholarship. Together, we advocate for the fundamental role of scholarly publishing in achieving academic excellence and in cultivating and disseminating knowledge.

Membership Requirements: A university press is defined as the publishing arm of a university or college, or a group of such institutions. To qualify for full membership, a press must publish five or more scholarly books a year. "Scholarly" refers to works of original research.
