Title: Studio Assistant
Description: Serial Box is hiring a Studio Assistant to help our fast-growing company. This is the perfect role for a dedicated self-starter who loves to learn, is passionate about great storytelling, and wants to gain experience working in a start-up that sits at the crossroads of publishing, podcasting, Hollywood, and tech.

Whether you’re a great editor, savvy marketer, or have an eye for business, there is a lot to learn from our experienced and innovative team.

Major responsibilities:
· Providing administrative support: Ensuring meetings are scheduled and kept, flights and hotels are booked, contracts and payments are received on time, and keeping Serial Box running like a well-oiled machine
· Managing distribution of content across our app, website, and retailers
· Managing submissions
· Corresponding with and managing authors, agents, editors, artists, and audio producers
· Vetting, tracking, and archiving contracts
· Handling customer service requests
· Managing incoming and outgoing royalty statements and payments
· Writing and editing copy
· Filling out tipsheets and creative briefs
· Completing projects for the marketing, content, and production teams as needed
· Supporting the marketing team with social media, newsletter content, and other projects as needed
· Supporting the general operations of the Serial Box team

The ideal candidate:
· Is extremely organized and able to handle independent work while also supporting the team
· Prioritizes and manages work meticulously and efficiently, and takes ownership of their work
· Is a quick study and loves to learn; enjoys a challenge and likes problem-solving
· Works well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
· Has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Has great interpersonal skills: emotional intelligence, discretion, good judgment
· Likes technology and is tech savvy. Knows how to use Gmail and Google suite (Docs, Drive, Sheets, etc), Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Dropbox. Able to use Google to find answers and figure out how to get things done. Knowledge of HTML, Calibre, and Sigil is a plus.
· Is a detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
· Has excellent problem-solving skills
· Is passionate about great storytelling, and is interested in pop culture and media

Requirements: Experience:
Previous work or internship experience in media or publishing, or media- or publishing-related extracurricular school activities.
