| Title: | Senior Manager, Digital Operations |
| Description: | Workman Publishing seeks a Senior Manager of Digital Operations with strong project management and metadata experience to help maintain and develop Workman’s digital systems and processes. The ideal candidate will be able to synthesize customer-oriented goals with our existing operations channels, and to improve the flow of information within and external to the organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for data, asset and product distribution to our trading partners and will work closely with our sales, production, IT and customer service teams -- as well as our divisions and distribution clients - to provide systems tools and training. This position will also interact directly with our key accounts to reduce operational friction and encourage growth across Workman’s sales channels. The successful candidate will have: • Project management experience • Working knowledge of digital asset and content management systems • Strong communication and relationship building skills • The ability to work across multiple teams and be comfortable managing the needs of multiple stakeholders • Strong analytical skills including proficiency in Excel • Experience with sales operations • Ability to keep projects on task and within budget • Experience contracting with third-party service providers • Comfort managing the work of others for specific projects and on an ongoing basis Minimum qualifications include: • Bachelor’s degree in systems, project management or a related field • 3-5 years systems and title management experience • 3+ years in book publishing or related media field • 2+ years leadership experience Workman Publishing Co., Inc., is an independently owned family of publishers, including Workman Publishing, Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill, Algonquin Young Readers, Artisan, Storey Publishing, and Timber Press.
