Description: Internship Program
Reader’s Digest Association (RDA), is committed to building the next generation of talent, and key to our strategy is our internship program. We are seeking high-potential students interested in career-building opportunities in a fast paced and competitive environment. In turn, we provide interns relevant real-life business experience through short-term projects that support key business initiatives and contribute to our products. You will also gain exposure to RDA's global organization through meetings where you will interact with business professionals, internal industry experts and senior executives throughout the summer.

The RDA summer internship program is open to undergraduate students entering their junior or senior year. All internships are credit-based (unpaid). To be considered for this program, students will be asked to provide proper documentation from their school program.
Position Description

Customer Care Intern, White Plains (1 intern)
The Customer Care Intern will participate in a review of the extranet used by customer contact centers to analyze its navigation, flow, content and usability, and make recommendations for improvements. The intern will also participate in a review of customer-facing online knowledgebase (FAQs) using the same criteria as part of department project to redesign its look/feel and layout. As the department expands its digital editions, it is determining a more holistic approach to supporting the digital space; projects will include reviewing customer touch points in social media to support this initiative. Other projects may include working with our Customer Experience analyst to update our current contact forecasting model and supporting the development of a KPI dashboard by gathering and organizing data from multiple sources. Intern will participate in weekly activities related to the management of our out-sourced call centers such as our weekly operations call and training calls. (Business, Technology, Liberal Arts majors)
Length of Internship: Summer 2012 Term
Requirements: Qualifications:
• Must be able to work under a high level of pressure within a fast paced environment.
• Be highly organized, detail oriented, and a self-starter able to set priorities and multi-task.
• Familiarity with and use of current technology such as web browsing, search engines, smart phones, iPads and social media
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes
