|Company Name:||THE GLOBAL JOURNAL|
|Description:||The Global Journal is a new international media whose editorial content focuses on contemporary global affairs. We feature contributed articles and photography from noted journalists, profile 'Global Issue Players', and feature reviews of currently released books, films, and blogs.
We are looking for a Marketing/Audience Development intern to come in at least 2-3 days per week. We need someone to help maintain our mailing/email lists and also help organize any new contacts received into the database. You'll need experience in working with Microsoft Excel and also experience creating/building/maintaining databases and how to organize and manage large sets of data.
|Length of Internship:||3 months (negotiable)|
|Requirements:||The ideal candidate will have excellent writing, researching, and editing skills; be comfortable on the phone; be interested in current affairs, photography, human rights, publishing, websites, and/or marketing; and be organized, energetic, and ready to jump feet-first into chaos. Mac skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) are a must; prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, and Microsoft Access is a plus (but not by any means required). This is a fairly non-hierarchical space so we expect that everyone will pitch in to use his or her special skills when needed.|
|How To Apply For This Internship:||Please e-mail a cover letter to email@example.com telling us a little bit about yourself and why you are interested in magazine publishing, along with a resume.|
