Description: Norton Professional Books, a department of W. W. Norton & Company, Inc. focusing on mental health and education books, seeks an intern to assist with the development and promotion of K-12Talk.com. K-12Talk.com is an online forum for informed and curious educators interested in new perspectives on social and emotional learning, equity, teaching strategies, classroom management, mindfulness, and more. We are seeking an intern with Wordpress experience to help solicit contributed posts and perhaps craft short original posts, as well as conceptualize a content calendar. The intern will play an integral role in assisting the editor in curating relevant content centered on topics that are of interest to K-12 educators. The intern will also work with the Marketing team to increase overall site traffic and readership. Those candidates with design skills can utilize their talents to create graphics to accompany blog entries and social media posts. This internship is ideal for someone interested in learning about the creative and strategic aspects of content marketing in the book publishing world.
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in education and teaching. If necessary, the intern may also be called on to assist with other editorial, marketing, or production tasks.
Location: New York, NY
Payment: $15/hour
