Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The college division at W. W. Norton & Company is seeking an intern from January to April 2020 to assist with digital editorial projects in the chemistry department. The internship will offer insight into the editorial, marketing, and sales aspects of textbook publishing.

Tasks will vary, but may include:
• assisting with preparation of manuscripts, art logs, and electronic ancillary materials including test banks
• organizing data in Excel spreadsheets and formatting Word/PDF files for copyediting and production
• testing and reviewing digital content and functionality on the Smartwork5 online homework system
• other day-to-day office duties and light administrative tasks, such as scanning documents and manuscripts
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and organized, able to work independently in an office environment, and interested in learning about college publishing. Knowledge of chemistry is appreciated but not required. Applicants should have strong editorial, communication, and research skills.
