Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The college division at W. W. Norton & Company is seeking an intern from January to April 2020 to assist with print and digital editorial projects in the managing editorial department. The internship will offer insight into the editorial, marketing, and sales aspects of textbook publishing. Tasks will vary, but will include
• cross-checking proofs at various stages of publication
• compiling table of contents and other front matter
• copy editing and proofreading marketing materials
• updating style sheets
• other day-to-day office duties (scanning freelancers' tests, organizing department's library, and photocopying proofs, as needed)

Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and organized, able to work independently in an office environment, and interested in learning about college textbook publishing. Those with an interest in managing editorial and project management are encouraged to applying. Our ideal candidate will enjoy working across disciplines on a variety of projects at once. Specific hours are flexible, but interns must be available to work 3-4 days for a total of 20 hours per week over a three-month period. College juniors, seniors, and recent graduates preferred.

Payment: $15/hour
