Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The High School Group at W. W. Norton & Company is seeking an intern from September to December 2019 to assist with editorial, sales, and marketing projects. The internship will offer insight into the editorial, marketing, and sales aspects of textbook publishing. Tasks will vary, but will include
• assisting with preparation of manuscripts, electronic ancillary materials, and marketing materials
• researching artwork and primary source texts
• researching and drafting posts for social media
• data entry to support several sales, marketing, and editorial projects
• creating and maintaining reports for textbook inventory, marketing material inventory, and high school specific ISBNs
• other day-to-day office duties including accounting tasks and formatting documents
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and organized, able to work independently in an office environment, and interested in learning about high school textbook publishing. If you are applying to another Norton internship, please indicate as much in your cover letter. Specific hours are flexible, but interns must be available to work 3-4 days for a total of 20 hours per week over a three-month period. College juniors, seniors, and recent graduates preferred.

Payment: $15/hour
