| Description: | The college division at W. W. Norton & Company is seeking an intern from September to December 2018 to assist with digital editorial projects for introductory-level college courses in the College Digital Media Astronomy and Geology department. The internship will offer insight into the editorial, marketing, and sales aspects of textbook publishing. Tasks will vary, but will include:
• assisting with electronic ancillary materials • researching market data • cataloging and organizing digital assets • organizing book review programs • researching artwork and primary source texts • formatting documents • and other day-to-day office duties. |
| Length of Internship: | 3 months, 20 hours per week |
| Requirements: | Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and organized, able to work independently in an office environment, and interested in learning about college publishing. Those with an interest in Astronomy or Geology are especially encouraged to apply. However, Astronomy or Geology subject knowledge is NOT required. Knowledge of Mac OS, Windows OS, and Microsoft Word is required. |
