We are seeking an editorial intern for in our office in Manhattan who can also assist with managing editorial and publicity related tasks. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: submission review, proofreading jacket copy and text proofs; trafficking manuscripts at various stages of the publishing process; tracking and conflating editorial changes; making internal system updates; and assisting with media mailings and requests. A semester-long internship in our office will expose you to a wide range of publishing tasks and should give candidates a solid understanding of the in-and-outs of the publishing industry. |

| Requirements: | No previous publishing experience is required. You should have strong copyediting and proofreading skills, a strong reading intelligence, be detail-oriented, organized, and self motivated, and be able to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. |
