Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The Sociology team at W.W. Norton is seeking a highly motivated intern to assist the print and emedia editorial assistants. Duties vary but involve a range of responsibilities working with print and online content, from reviewing author materials and formatting documents to assisting with all stages of the publishing process.
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about textbook publishing, detail-oriented, organized, self-starting, comfortable working with minimal supervision, willing to learn new programs and skills on the job, and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is necessary and a demonstrated interest in sociology is highly preferred. Specific hours are flexible, but interns must be available to work 3-4 days for a total of 20 hours per week over a three-month period. Juniors, seniors, and recent college graduates preferred.
Location: New York, NY
Payment: $11/hour
