|Description:||The college division at W. W. Norton is seeking an intern from June to August 2017 to support the Norton Critical Editions editorial team. The internship will provide opportunities to experience the editorial, marketing, and sales aspects of textbook publishing. Responsibilities may include assisting with manuscript preparation, maintaining organizational databases, utilizing Excel to analyze sales data, doing photo and market research, mailing books and payments, and helping with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and photocopying.
|Length of Internship:||3 Months, 20 Hours Per Week|
|Requirements:||Ideal candidates will possess excellent attention to detail and organization, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work independently and efficiently in an office environment, and an interest in learning more about college textbook publishing. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is highly preferred. Specific hours are flexible, but interns must be available to work 3-4 days for a total of 20 hours per week over a three-month period.
