Company Name: PUBLISHIZER, INC.
Description: Publishizer is a startup on a mission to connect the world's authors and publishers. Our company is funded by 500 Startups in Silicon Valley, and has helped over 300 authors get published.

We believe pre-orders can be used to filter and match authors with a diversity of potential publishers, helping them find and connect with each other.

Editors signed on to receive proposals from our authors come from Crown Business, Portfolio, Grove Atlantic, and 100+ other publishers.

You'll be working with authors like the screenwriter of The Land Before Time, the founder of Couchsurfing.com, and a billionaire who wants to mine asteroids (seriously).

We're looking for someone with experience in a literary agency (preferably), and is passionate about startups.

We need help editing book proposals and getting them in the hands of relevant editors, while bringing ideas and creativity to a fast-growing startup.

You'll get hands-on experience within the publishing industry, develop amazing connections with authors from all walks of life, and experience the fast-paced life of tech startups.

Length of Internship: 3 months
Requirements: - Experience in a literary agency (preferred), traditional publishing house, or editorial experience
- Experience in retail, sales, customer service jobs is a plus
- Passionate about publishing and startups
- Location in New York preferred, but not required
