Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The college division at W. W. Norton is seeking an intern for the spring (January–April) of 2017 to support the Norton Critical Editions Editorial team. The internship will provide opportunities to experience the editorial, marketing, and sales aspects of textbook publishing. Duties may include assisting with manuscript preparation, maintaining organizational databases, utilizing Excel to analyze sales data, doing photo and market research, mailing books and payments, and helping with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and photocopying.

Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: Ideal candidates will possess excellent attention to detail and organization, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work independently and efficiently in an office environment, and an interest in learning more about college textbook publishing. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is highly preferred. The schedule is flexible, but applicants must be willing to commit to 20 hours per week for a 3-month period.

Payment: $11/hour
