Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: W. W. Norton's electronic media department is seeking an intern to assist the history team with editorial and production tasks for Spring 2017. This internship will focus on creating and organizing digital materials for this upcoming year's Western Civilizations titles. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, organized, self starting, comfortable working with minimal supervision, willing to learn new programs and skills on the job; additionally, the candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: Candidates should be interested in publishing as a career, particularly in college textbooks. Duties will include, but not be limited to, data entry, cataloging and organizing large amounts of digital assets, preparing manuscripts for copyediting and production, and reviewing materials as needed.
Location: New York, NY
Payment: $11/hour
