Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The Production Department at W. W. Norton & Company is seeking an Archival / Production Intern for Spring semester 2017. Qualified candidates should be detail-oriented multi-taskers with demonstrated experience in data entry. Candidates must be computer savvy with some experience using Adobe Creative Suite including Acrobat Pro, InDesign and Photoshop as well as a knowledge of Microsoft Excel. A familiarly with FileMaker Pro is a plus.

The Archival/ Production Intern will gain exposure to digital asset management processes, archival procedures, as well as an exposure to the book production process for both trade and college titles.
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: Duties will include auditing archival author photos and comparing the archive against the W.W. Norton website, standardizing archival author photographs to meet new standards, preparing images for ingestion into a digital asset management system, and assisting in production tasks as needed.
Location: New York, NY
Payment: $11/hour
