Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The college division at W. W. Norton & Company is seeking an intern to work in the Literature, Drama, and Communication Department. Duties will include assisting with manuscript compilation for anthologies and other textbooks, such as The Norton Anthology of World Literature, The Norton Anthology of Drama, and Living Theatre, researching information for the new communication list, and assisting with the creation of textbooks’ ancillary materials.

The internship will provide opportunities to learn about all aspects of textbook publishing, see the ways in which all departments and systems interact, and meet with representatives from various departments.

Requirements: Applicants should be detail oriented, well organized, and interested in academic publishing. Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat is a requirement. The schedule is flexible, but applicants must be willing to commit to 20 hours per week for a 3-month period.
Location: New York
Payment: $9/Hour
