| Description: | Shambhala Publications, a small, independent publishing house, has an opening for a part-time, temporary production intern.
Responsibilities include: -maintaining production library -reviewing printed books for quality issues -coding and submitting invoices -maintaining reprint job files -opening and sending packages -misc. office work: photocopying, filing, distributing books, etc. This internship is a great learning opportunity and pays $10/hour for 10-12 hours/week. We prefer interns to work a few hours 4-5 days/week. Because we are a small company, the production intern can work closely with other departments and see the evolution of a project from start to finish. This internship will run from April through August 2016, with flexible start and end dates. |

| Requirements: | The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and good organizational skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary. Familiarity with InDesign and Quark is a plus. Interest in book publishing is strongly preferred. |
