We're looking for enthusiastic, dedicated interns to work directly with the publicity and editorial aspects of publishing. Learn more about us www.beaufortbooks.com.
Applicants should be excellent writers and researchers with a desire to learn about publicity in the publishing industry. Applicants should be computer savvy and be familiar with internet research, blogs, and social networking sites. Experience with InDesign or Wordpress website hosting a plus. We want someone who feels comfortable working independently on projects. Major duties include: • Read and review manuscript submissions • Research and contact media outlets for publicity opportunities • Craft copy for sell sheets, press releases, dust jackets, etc. • Update and maintain social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr • Proofread and edit copy • Other administrative duties as assigned |
| Length of Internship: | Internship begins in January and lasts until the end of May. Exact dates dependent on intern's availability. We are very aware of maintaining a work/life balance, and we only ask our interns to work a maximum 2-3 days per week, 8 hours per day. |
