Description: Interns needed for a literary scouting company. We have nearly a dozen film and TV clients in Los Angeles for whom we scout books and theater with adaptation potential. Intern responsibilities will include reading and providing reader reports on books, helping to enter info in the database, and tracking relevant film, publishing, and theater news.
Length of Internship: September-December 2015
Requirements: This is a small office and offers excellent hands-on experience for those looking to gain insight into both the film and publishing industry here in New York. Candidates do not need to be Film or English majors, but this internship does require a significant amount of reading both in the office and on the intern’s own time so only serious candidates with an interest in the film and/or publishing industries should apply. Interns should also be prepared to take on light administrative duties as needed (copying, phones, occasional errands, etc). We are looking for interns who can commit to 2-3 full days per week (11am-6pm).
