Company Name: BERGHAHN BOOKS
Description: Berghahn Books is seeking a publishing intern to work closely with its Journals Division in its DUMBO-Brooklyn office. Assignments will involve assisting with a range of tasks from marketing and content development to general office duties.
The position requires a responsible and detail-oriented person who can handle multiple tasks in a small-firm environment with minimal supervision. As an independent press, this position will offer a great opportunity to learn many facets of the publishing process.
Length of Internship: Open-Ended
Requirements: The successful candidate will be a university student or recent graduate with a strong interest in scholarly publishing. Excellent communication skills and a command of English grammar and spelling as well as proficiency in Word processing applications are vital. Knowledge of basic desktop publishing skills, such as familiarity with Quark or InDesign, as well as experience with Microsoft Excel are also useful for the job.
Location: Brooklyn, New York, USA
Payment: $10/hour
