|On Friday, March 27, 2015, after touring the offices of HarperCollins Publishers in midtown, a visiting group of students from Skidmore College stopped for lunch at the UJA building on 59th Street and Lex from 12:30-1:15 where Bookjobs volunteers from Workman Publishing, Penguin Young Readers Group, International Publications Media Group, AMACOM, and HarperCollins Children's Books joined them for a networking lunch to answer questions about career opportunities in book publishing. Book publishing isn't just for English majors! Bookjobs.com is an initiative of the Association of American Publishers' Diversity, Recruit & Retain Committee. It's a "one-stop shop" for general information on the book publishing industry, publisher profiles, industry events, and listings for internships and full-time jobs in the book publishing field! Publishing is full of possibilities, filled with career paths for every interest. Publishing houses have positions in finance, marketing, sales, publicity, design, editorial, legal, production, and many more!|
